Watch Release Highlights:

Now, Let’s dive into the highlights of platform updates:

Harness the Power of AI with Caddie

Introducing Caddie, your friendly AI companion! Caddie simplifies Artifact creation like never before.

  • Data Tables: Say goodbye to manual table creation. Just tell Caddie what you need in plain English, and Caddie will construct the tables, relationships, and keys – all automatically.
  • Reports: No longer the exclusive domain of Citizen Developers, report creation is now accessible to all users! With AI-powered NLP, users can simply provide a prompt to Caddie and generate reports seamlessly.
  • Data Sources – Query: Writing complex queries can be a pain. Caddie comes to the rescue again! Citizen Developers can use plain text instructions to generate lengthy queries, then refine them iteratively until they’re perfect.

Simplified Event Handling with App Events 2.0

Gone are the days when multiple configurations were needed for the same event! App Events 2.0 introduces powerful new features:

  • Conditional Statements: Handle various scenarios with a single configuration using if-else statements. This eliminates the need for multiple configurations and simplifies event management.
  • Improved Organization: Event subtypes are now grouped logically under their respective event types. Additionally, the configuration process is streamlined with separate sections for naming, workflow steps, and conditions, enhancing clarity and ease of use.
  • Multi-step Workflows: Similar to App Data functions, you can now select multiple workflow steps and actions for any event, providing more flexibility and control.

A Feast for the Eyes: Enhanced Charts and Visualizations

We’ve heard your requests, and we’re thrilled to deliver a visual smorgasbord of new chart types:

  1. Histogram Charts
  2. Pareto Charts
  3. Stock Charts
  4. Waterfall Charts
  5. Scatter and Bubble Charts
  6. 3D Charts
  7. Polar Charts
  8. Radar Charts
  9. Multi-series Reports

On top of these new additions, we’re bringing interactivity to the table with features like Crosshair and Track Ball for pinpointing data points and displaying detailed information. Range Multiselect lets you focus on specific data ranges for in-depth comparisons, while Trendline Display helps you identify patterns and make predictions over time.

Existing charts are also getting a makeover with new subtypes for bar, pie, line, and area charts, offering more flexibility and customization for powerful visual storytelling.

Stay on Top of Your Tasks with Toast Notifications

Never miss a beat with Task Toast Notifications! These pop-up cards appear in the top right corner of your screen, keeping you informed about new tasks without disrupting your current work. Each notification includes the task message, assignee, and source workspace/application. Clicking the card opens the task in a new tab, while dismissing the card allows you to review tasks later.

Keep Users Informed with Release Notes

Citizen Developers, rejoice! You can now communicate changes to users with Release Notes after deploying applications, views, and reports to the live environment. Provide a clear explanation of what’s new within 72 hours of deployment, and all users with access will receive the notes within their notifications.

Enforce Letter Case Consistency

Ensuring data consistency is crucial. Release 4.3 empowers Citizen Developers to define specific letter cases (Sentence case, lowercase, and UPPERCASE) for text fields within applications. This ensures that data entered by users always adheres to the chosen format, regardless of how they type it.

Granular Control over Validation Events

Citizen Developers now have more control over when validation errors are triggered. Introducing “On Key Press” validation, which stops data entry immediately if it doesn’t meet the pattern requirements. The existing “On Lost Focus” validation remains available. Choose the validation event that best suits your needs for optimal data accuracy.

Usability Enhancements

  • Chart Titles: When adding a Chart Report to the dashboard, you can now include or exclude the chart title for a cleaner presentation.

  • PDF Annotation: Users can now annotate PDF documents directly within the platform, providing valuable feedback, highlighting key metrics, or adding notes.
  • Number Formatting: Numbers entered in number fields are automatically converted to words within the Calculate field, with options for international and Indian formatting.
  • Email File Uploads: The File Upload field now accepts email files (.msg, .eml, and .em)

Conclusion

Release 4.3 is a game-changer for Citizen Developers. Caddie, the power of AI, streamlined event handling, and a plethora of visualization and usability enhancements empower you to create and manage applications more efficiently than ever before.

We’re committed to providing you with the tools you need to thrive. Stay tuned for even more exciting features in upcoming releases!
