Quixy schools NIT-W students on No-Code Citizen Development

Hyderabad, India, November 07, 2020 – Quixy conducted an online workshop for the students at the School of Management (SoM), National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NIT-W), on November 7th, 2020.

The workshop is part of the series of seminars Quixy is conducting for selected management institutes in India to evangelize the importance of no-code citizen development towards digital transformation and how crucial it is for businesses to adopt and generalize this practice. Over 70 students attended the workshop.

Dr. P Ramachandra Gopal – Associate Professor, School of Management, NIT-W began the workshop by welcoming the Quixy team and participants with a presentation on the importance of “Business Process Automation”.

“There is a great need for automating business processes, whether they are internal or customer-facing. Gartner predicts that, by the end of 2020, customers will manage 85% of their relationship with the enterprise without interacting with a human.”, explained Dr. Ramachandra during his presentation. Dr. Ramachandra also emphasized the need for management students to be aware of no-code business process automation tools to manage operations in their future roles as business leaders in the industry.

An overview of the Quixy platform followed Dr. Ramachandra’s presentation. The presentation covered how Quixy can automate any business processes 10X faster than traditional alternatives without writing any code. The key features, including the drag-and-drop form builder, visual process flow designer, were also demonstrated.

After the overview session, the participants were split into two teams. Each team then had a hands-on experience with the Quixy platform. The first team made a library management system while the other group built a leave management system for the college staff. Both teams were able to develop and deploy the apps within an hour. The teams acknowledged the speed with which they could convert the idea to application with the power of no-code.

The session concluded with a Q&A session where the student clarified their doubts from the session.
