Quixy empowers future leaders at IIM, Trichy

Hyderabad, India, December 05, 2020 – Quixy conducted a no-code application development workshop for the management students at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Trichy, on the 5th of December, 2020 in association with Matrix, the Systems and Analytics Club, at the institute.

The workshop was part of the series of seminars Quixy is conducting for selected management institutes in India to evangelize the importance of no-code citizen development towards digital transformation.

The workshop started with a presentation emphasizing the need for digital transformation and how no-code citizen development can be a powerful tool to achieve the same.

“Businesses today need digital solutions fast to transform their operations. The COVID pandemic has accelerated this need further. The current IT teams in organizations are unable to meet this demand. It’s essential for management students, who would become business leaders tomorrow, to be aware of no-code and citizen development tools that can address this challenge. ”, said Vivek Goel, Vice President – Marketing and Evangelism, while addressing the students.

After the introduction, the Quixy team provided an overview of its no-code platform talking through the powerful features that can be used by any non-technical business users to automate processes and build simple to complex applications without writing any code.

As part of the workshop, the participants, split into two teams, had a hands-on experience with the tool. The first team built a library management system while the other group made a leave management system. Both teams could develop and deploy the apps in under an hour. The teams appreciated the speed with which they could convert the idea to application with the power of no-code.

The session concluded with a Q&A session. It was impressive to see students ask intelligent questions about security, governance, integration capability, and usability of the no-code platforms.
